Fender Stratocaster Sunburst 22FEB66B (1966-) 1968

15490,00  (C)

Excellent small neck Stratocaster!

Low C-profile neck, nut width “B” => 41.28mm, fretboard radius 7¼”. What is special about determining the date of birth of this guitar is that although its neck stamp is from February 1966, the CBS logo “With Synchronized Tremolo…” on its headstock is from mid-1967 at the earliest, and the serial number on the guitar’s neck plate also dates to 1968. The potentiometers are all from week 18 of 1966. The pickups are also from that year, as are the stamps on the body. These together would indicate that the guitar is mostly from 1966 -except for the neck decal, “F” tuners and neck plate serial number starting with 224 indicates year 1968. DC resistances of the original “Gray Bottom” pickups: 5.4KΩ(N), 5.6KΩ(M), 5.7KΩ(B) The electronics has been expanded in the early 70s with two mini-switches for the “in-between positions” of the pickups. One newer tremolo spring and newer strap buttons, a few newer bridge adjustment springs… Refretted maybe in a hurry -judging by some fingerboard cracking-, but the playability/tone is excellent, the frets have just been polished

Newer Fender AVRI Tweed case and early 1970`s strap (Vintage Fender Monogram Guitar Strap W/Metal Buckle)
